We know the priests would never starve so how long did they wait before they skipped reference to these items and began to eat. The same question is repeated sixteen years later by Nehemiah 7:65. Ezra tells us they left Babylon. So what happened to them? The author tells of one possibility. History records that they never have been seen since.
