Writer Profiles

DAVE CANOVAS, a New Zealand kindergarten teacher, regards highly the learning of dispositions in young children. He believes that at an early age, children can be encouraged to learn to listen to others, to love, to collaborate, to persevere or to resolve conflicts on their own. “What if I had the chance to teach children dispositions based on Christian values?”. This wondering prompted Dave to write about a child expressing openly, BIG emotions to God. Two years ago he wrote a book entitled, “God Our Father: Are You Divorcing Me Too?” Dave also writes a blog, appointedbygod.com, that weaves his experiences as a pre-school teacher, a father, husband and as a Christian.
