About This Book

NZCW-HR

In a world of doom, gloom and apocalyptic warnings, there were two narratives about the end being near.

The first saturated the news media and spoke death. Day after day, the shouts of the shrill uttered dire warnings of climate catastrophe.

The prophecies came with a curse; “To save the planet, you must give up your lifestyle.”

The other narrative was from Revelation, the final book of the Bible. It spoke of strange and frightening things to come, but a blessing was promised; “Blessed are you who read, hear and keep the words of this prophecy; for the time is near.”

Wayfarer wanted the truth.

Travelling life’s highways and by-ways, she had to make a choice. Who should she listen to? What should she fear? God, or man?

She decided to venture into the mysterious Book of Revelation.

To find her way, and fulfil the conditions of the blessing, she sought Wisdom.

Wisdom lived in a house of seven columns. Her rooms contained riches, and rare and beautiful things. At first, many doors were closed but Abba, the father of the house, gave her a key.

Taught by Wisdom and Abba, Wayfarer learned to “let the Word interpret the Word, line by line, precept by precept.” There were many interlocking Bible verses. Aided by those in Wisdom’s house, Wayfarer put them together like a puzzle. She obtained wise counsel, to understand a proverb and an enigma from the words of the wise and their riddles.

As she travelled through the cataclysmic, world changing events of the Apocalypse, Wayfarer’s eyes were opened to great and marvellous things. Witnessing the Kingdom, the power and the glory, she was indeed blessed by this mysterious, enigmatic book that has kept its secrets for over two millennia.
