About This Book
WHAT IT MEANS WHEN I SAY ‘I DO’: The promises we make to build a strong, loving and joy-filled marriage. How can love grow and turn our marriage into a lasting picture of that love? There is no better way to begin than to get a solid grasp of what our commitment means. In this book, Cindy David offers us a roadmap with 35 daily promises for marriage to help us navigate the true meaning of our commitment and guide us into strengthening it. Presented with clear, practical steps, these promises help us see that commitment is not just mustering the courage to say “I do” on our wedding day but also faithfully carrying out the things we need to do for our marriage every day. These promises show us how we can become proactive instead of reactive to the circumstances and emotions that affect our marriage. Beautifully written and effectively brought into perspective as if they’re our own personal guidelines, each of these promises teaches us how we can align our actions with our beliefs and centre our motivation around the desire to please and honour God in our marriage. Do you want to make a strong and lasting commitment? What It Means When I Say ‘I Do’ is the book to show you how.

About The Writer
Cindy David
CINDY DAVID loves to write even at a young age. But growing up with entrepreneurial parents, her mind shifted away from writing to pursuing a career in business. The turning point came years later when she was given an opportunity to write an article for a Christian magazine Light Touch, a Glad Tidings publication based in Manila. It was then that she rediscovered her heart for writing. Cindy subsequently became one of the magazine’s regular contributors and was asked to co-author a high workbook ‘Pocketful of Virtues.’ Since then, she has written on a wide range of topics including relationships, marriage, communication and finances—all within the context of her Christian faith. A few years after migrating to New Zealand in 2002, she joined the New Zealand Christian Writers where she won places in their magazine competitions. Cindy says, “God’s Word can powerfully guide us in every area of our lives. It can equip us with the knowledge on how to live wisely, transform our character, improve our relationships and encourage us to keep going even through the most difficult times.” Married for more than thirty years to George, she has three children and lives in West Auckland, New Zealand. When not writing Cindy enjoys time with family, friends and running an online gift bouquet delivery business from home. You can find her work and get to know more of her at: www.cindydavid.nz
