Writer Profiles

DEBBIE SMITH has lived in the yachting paradise of Auckland for most of her life, and enjoys all Waitemata Harbour has to offer. She is Management Accountant at a large North Shore church and brings her expertise in finance to NZ Christian Writers as Treasurer. Debbie has a vast background in teaching and writing, having published eight Gifted Education Resources for teachers, updated university courses in Gifted Education, and written many blogposts and journal articles. Her post-graduate studies included researching and writing a course in Online Journalism, when it was still a fledgling industry, to encourage Gifted Secondary Students to share their writing online. She was also involved in developing an interactive online course in Kingdom Culture for her church. Debbie is happy when she has a story in her mind and a keyboard at her fingertips.
