G M LINCOLN has always loved reading and was an avid reader as a child. She’s a teacher and has taught in New Zealand primary schools for over thirty-five years, Discovering wonderful children’s books and reading them to her classes is one of her favourite teaching activities. She is an avid traveller and aspects of the countries she’s visited appear in her first novel, The Wind Rises. Travelling fascinates her because she enjoys seeing the wide range of crafts people turn their hand to and use to earn their living. Most of her travel has been to third world Asian countries and seeing the creativity, ingenuity and work ethic of the poorer people in these countries has been a humbling experience. G M Lincoln was recently involved in setting up a sewing project in the leprosy colonies of Thailand, which is where she learnt about leprosy. Having a taste for adventure, she took Bibles into China during the 1980’s for two years. As well as reading and writing, she enjoys taking the dog for walks in the forest. Her little black griffin, Alfie visits rest homes to fellowship with the elderly during school term breaks. Alfie is learning trick to entertain others, but his outgoing personality and affectionate nature mean he is a hit with animal lovers. When she gets time, G M Lincoln enjoys quilting, particularly applique. Fellowshipping and growing in the Lord with others in her church home-group is a priority in her life as is spending time alone with Jesus.

        Blessings

BLESSINGS: To This You Were Called. Sometimes we wonder what to pray for someone we feel compassion for, or with whom we struggle to get along. The apostle Peter said, “Repay evil with a blessing, because to this you were called, so that you might inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter 3:9. Blessings …To This You Were Called, will start you on a journey of rediscovering the simplicity and joy of blessing others with your words and uplifting your own spirit. What is a blessing? A blessing is speaking out God’s heart for another person or yourself. It is a statement of good intention that moves someone towards the destiny God has for them. A blessing always agrees with the Word of God and provides hope for the hearer. This book contains 40 blessings on a variety of topics, which can be used as prayers to bless others and prayed over ourselves. Each blessing is based on scripture and will help you use ‘the Sword of the Spirit’ as a positive weapon to bless others and bring blessing upon yourself. Blessings are a key to the Kingdom of Heaven.
