HEATHER MCCALL was born in Gore, New Zealand. She went to school at Tapanui. She found school a struggle but when she found out years later she was dyslexic it made sense. Heather lived on her McKenzie family farm, till marrying Murray McCall, after 20 years on their farm, while bringing up their four daughters, they moved from West Otago to north of Auckland to Bible school. Being a farmer’s wife taught Heather about cooking, baking and hospitality, becoming a florist added to her creativity. Heather has combined her faith in Christ , her creativity and love for people to write books. Heather has authored two beautiful books, “For the Love of Christmas,” and “For the Love of Hospitality”. FOR THE LOVE OF HOSPITALITY: Inspiration for Entertaining and Celebrating Hospitality is a book that portrays God’s plan according to 1 Peter 4:9 for us to welcome both friends and strangers into our homes and to serve one another with love. It encourages readers to use their talents to create warm and inviting environments through food, flowers, faith, and fellowship. Hospitality is being interested in the lives and desires of others. Above all, hospitality is the ability to love unconditionally.
