Julie Belding
// Honorary Member & WriterJULIE BELDING, MA, BTh, grew up in Wanganui and attended Victoria University. In 1968 she and her husband moved to the USA where they lived for 17 years and where their son and daughter were born. In 1986 they returned to New Zealand, and live in Mairangi Bay. Julie became editor of the NZ Baptist in 1991, and around that time became president of NZ Christian Writers. In 2000 she became the founding editor of DayStar magazine, and later a vice-president of the Australasian Religious Press Association. In 2010 she started a magazine called Lift for her local Baptist church. Recently she has become interested in English language teaching, and earned a CELTA qualification in 2014. Currently she is working with English Language Partners to teach immigrants, and leads a weekly conversation class at her church. She is a co-director of DayStar Books and now has five grandchildren.
