    LIJLANIE STANDER is a South African expat, living in New Zeeland. When her dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in June 2019, the family tackled this as a spiritual war. They celebrated his healing 6 months later. She declared that this journey would become her family’s testimony. During 2020 Lijlanie composed a Bible Study on Spiritual Warfare, as precursor to her book. However, 2021 brought its own challenges. During this year she conquered Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, amidst challenging circumstances. Out of her greatest sorrow “The Legkaart” was born. Lijlanie is also coordinator and founding member of SA Kiwi Chicks, a non-profit Christian organisation supporting South African expat women. She gives talks on her own journey with cancer, immigration and spiritual warfare. Her book, Die Legkaart, is now available in English.

      DIE LEGKAART (The Puzzle) is a gripping true-life story about the author’s journey of hope, spiritual warfare and burning love as daughter, sister and intercessor. It takes place during a severe onslaught on her dad’s life, while father and daughter are separated by two oceans and thousands of kilometres. Part 1 of this trilogy takes place in 2019 and focusses on spiritual warfare. The family battled life threatening challenges, putting their spiritual warfare abilities to the test. Faith, hope and love prevailed. The reader is captivated by precious childhood memories, the complexity of the father-daughter relationship and the unbreakable bond between sisters. The Voice from Eternity is ever present to guide and comfort. Fellow expats, fathers, daughters, and those burdened by cancer will relate and be encouraged. Her book, Die Legkaart, is now available in Afrikaans and English – hard copy and e-book format.
