Writer Profiles

PRUE FRANCIS is a part-time teacher living in New Plymouth, Taranaki, with three adult children and three grandchildren. She has taught children with Special Needs as well as those with English as a Second Language. Currently she is tutoring students after school. Prue attended Otago University where she completed a degree and Post Graduate Diploma in English, followed by a teaching qualification and teaching in Australia. Her marriage to a Presbyterian minister has given her varied experience knowing and helping a varied range of people. Her recreational interests in life centre around family, writing, reading, walking, tramping and gardening. Her goal is to write more and maybe publish a book. Prue contributed to The Journey, a New Zealand anthology of poetry and prose, published in 2014.
