Dr. Sharmaine Anna Dobson
// WriterDR. SHARMAINE ANNA DOBSON. Fifteen years ago, Sharmaine started painting, as a release from all the pain she saw in the world. At the same time, she also wrote a notelet called ‘A Cry Beneath the African Sky.’ After receiving much-needed inspiration, Sharmaine released her first audio poetry CD, ‘A New Season, A New Song.’ Sharmaine also published a song, ‘Let the Rain Fall,’ sung by Jack Casey. That same year, Sharmaine wrote ‘From Tears to Triumph’, a devotional with real life stories, followed by a second book, ‘From the Shadows of my Soul.’ Sharmaine has also released the first in a three-part series, ‘George’s World – Where is my Dad?’ about a young boy growing up in a single parent family. Sharmaine has a Masters in Counselling and is an ordained Minister. She lives in Christchurch, alongside her husband George and is a mother of two, and grandmother of five.
